Creative Writing

Because myself is a rebellious creature by nature, neither rests nor settles down, I had to force her to join a creative writing class at last. “If I am to do anything with writing in the future, then I must master rules first”, so I convinced her..

Below I share bits and pieces, which our mentor asked us to write during previous classes – as a future reference for my progress.. if any.

“In my other life I am a free soul. I make people happy for a living. I sell smiling balloons on street corners and make cotton candy for the homeless. In my other life, I tap dance on music notes and disappear with the wind.”

*~*~*

“If you are my book, you will be my favorite. Right beside my bed, I will read you every night till your pages grow weary. Line by line, I will memorize you. Word by word, I will draw your face in my heart.. Let your every comma, letter and dot, lead me through to you..”

*~*~*

“In cunning joy, the pen danced on paper up and down. The black ink seduced thoughts out, like a snake hissing under moonlight. Words wafted through, like a song bird woeing beside the river.”

*~*~*

Back to writing my this week’s assignment :)

  1. Interesting bits and I can see how they would be used in the course…just out of curiosity, who’s the mentor? I’m wondering if it is the same one I took :)
